AI-Driven Senior Software Engineer

We are looking for a talented and driven Senior Software Engineer, able to turn ideas from scratch into enterprise-ready products and take full ownership of them. You will work across the whole stack, contribute to architectural decisions, and help build AI-based systems with real-world impact. This role is ideal for someone who loves ownership, moving fast, and working at the intersection of software engineering and applied AI.

What you'll do

Design, develop, and ship end-to-end software solutions, from idea to production
Own features and projects end-to-end, autonomously (design → code → deploy → iterate)
Work closely with product, AI, and business stakeholders in an Agile environment
Integrate LLMs, agentic AI systems, and ML components into production software
Contribute to technical decisions, best practices, and code quality standards

What we're looking for

MSc (or higher) with at least 3 years of experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields
Proven experience owning projects end-to-end, not just individual tickets
Real understanding of AI/ML fundamentals, beyond just using LLM APIs: familiarity with concepts such as model architectures, training vs. inference, embeddings, evaluation, and where classical ML stands relative to deep learning
Solid understanding of AI/ML concepts, in particular: agentic AI workflows; retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and knowledge/context system design; applied machine learning
Excellent communication skills, with a collaborative approach to giving and receiving feedback
Fluent in English and Italian
Proactive and comfortable working autonomously in a dynamic, startup-style environment

Nice to have

Experience evaluating AI systems beyond "it seems to work well"
Experience with TypeScript, modern JavaScript stacks, and Python
Proactive spirit and a sense of initiative
Familiarity with software testing and automation
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
Experience in startups or early-stage products
